Piano

About me

I was born in Istanbul Turkey in 1973 and lived there until 1999 when I married my Danish husband and moved to Denmark. From 1999 to 2005 I lived, worked and studied in the Danish capital Copenhagen, after which I moved to Denmarks 3rd biggest city Odense – the  birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, where I lived for 6 years. In 2012 I returned to Copenhagen.

My Educational Background

1994:

Diploma from “The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music” – Music Theory and Piano.
1998:
Graduated in Piano from “The Istanbul State Conservatory (MimarSinan University)”.
2003 – 2008:
Music Science (Musicology) at Copenhagen University.

 

Teaching Experience

1995 – 1999:  
Private Teacher for 10 – 15 Piano student in Istanbul, Turkey.
1998 – 1999:  
Piano Teacher at “The Istanbul Sisli Lisesi (Primary School and High School)
1999 – 2005:  
Private Teacher for many piano students in Copenhagen.
2004 – 2005:  
Piano Teacher at evening courses in Albertslund near Copenhagen.
2005 – 2012:  
Piano and choir teacher – Svendborg Music School.
2012 –  Now:  
Piano teacher – Gentofte Music School

 

Performing Experience

  • Master Classes in Istanbul, Turkey.
  • Many solo concerts – Denmark, Turkey and Cyprus etc.
  • Svendborg City Ensemble – Tango Catz! (2010 -2012 )
  • Tango Catz! (2013- )

My Leisure time

In my leisure time I like to go to concerts and in the theater. I also like to walk in the nature, to read good and insightful books and to travel and experience new places, people and cultures, but most of all I like to spend quality time in my home together with my family and my spoiled cat.
